Happiness is our most powerful advantage

This last week I enjoyed reconnecting with many of my Keller Williams friends at their annual conference. I was reminded of the power of in-person events by keynoter Shawn Achor, one of the world’s leading experts on the connection between happiness and success. He explained how the research shows happiness is our most powerful advantage in this modern economy, and the best predictor of happiness is social connection. I agree. Coming right off that in-person event, I can say, I do feel happier!

I also acknowledge the last couple of years have been traumatizing, and everyone needs to find their new, personal comfort level with social interaction. And yet the research is clear on this: we need in-person social connection for our wellbeing. We also need to support one another and not be judgemental as people work to re-establish their boundaries. Boundaries are good.

Speaking of in-person events, we’re hosting one on March 23rd in Alexandria, Virginia. I would love for you to join us at Alchemy of Money Live for an engaging day where we will dive into the topic of wealth building. We’re going straight to action-oriented content from how to set financial goals, to building your financial team, to managing cash and contextualizing investment opportunities. That, plus a post-event happy hour overlooking Alexandria from the rooftop, I promise you’re going to have an outstanding day.

I’m keeping the crowd small so if you’re interested, apply here.
